Diagnostic and Preventive Care:

Teeth Cleaning

We recommend getting your dental cleaning and exam at least twice a year to remove the plaque and/or tartar that could lead to gingivitis or gum disease. This also allows Dr. Russell to examine for tooth decay or any other oral changes that could be affecting your smile or over all health.

Periodontal Maintenance

Some patients with gum/periodontal disease require a deeper cleaning to maintain their tissue and prevent tooth loss. If necessary for some patients we recommend cleaning every 3 to 4 months.

Scaling and Root planning

A deeper cleaning for patients with gum disease that have experienced bone loss and loss of gingival attachment. Many times patients need to be numb for the procedure to be comfortable.

Oral Cancer Screening

At every appointment, we do a thorough head and neck exam. Looking for any dysplastic changes of the oral mucosa and soft tissue. As well as, a thorough examination of your dental radiographs. Early detection and diagnosis is the key to treatment and survival.

Dental Sealants

Sealants are a plastic material placed into the pits and fissures on the chewing surfaces of the molars and premolars for kids and some adults. Sealants prevent the build up of food and plaque debris into these areas and are shown to successfully reduce the risk of tooth decay/cavities.

Fluoride

Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that can help demineralized teeth not to form cavities. We recommend fluoride for our kids to keep their young teeth strong and healthy. We also encourage fluoride treatment for many adults to maintain strong tooth structure around fillings, veneers, crowns, and to keep areas of recession and abrasion cavity free. Fluoride is also heavily recommended for our aging patients with dry mouth and for patients undergoing cancer treatment to maintain healthy restorations and root surfaces.

Cosmetic Procedures:

Cosmetic dental care involves enhancing the appearance of one’s teeth, which will also benefit one’s oral health in the process. We can enhance the brightness, shape, and size of one’s teeth. We can also use cosmetic dentistry to straighten one’s teeth and repair damage, which can include replacing missing teeth. If you are interested in enhancing your smile, do not hesitate to give us a call and schedule an appointment. We will go over the possible options and customize your smile to what you want.

Porcelain Veneers

A great option for changing the color, size, shape or alignment of your teeth with a thin layer of porcelain. Usually this requires removing a thin layer of enamel for the veneer to suitably sit over the top of your teeth.

Composite Bonding

An alternative to porcelain veneers to repair chipped, discolored or fractured front teeth. Composite resin is used to match your natural teeth.

Zoom Teeth Whitening

About a 2 hour in office whitening procedure. Some patients can brighten their smile 5 to 6 shades if it is one of their first whitening experiences. This procedure requires an overall initial examination to determine your dental health and sensitivity level before undergoing the procedure.

Restorative Procedures:

Composite Fillings

White resin fillings shade matched to restore teeth due to cavities, fractures, or cosmetic bonding.

Crowns

Often referred to as “caps”, crowns are placed over a tooth to repair a fractured/broken tooth, to provide strength to teeth that have had a root canal, or as a final restoration of a dental implant.

Bridges

A procedure used to replace single or multiple missing teeth that is permanently cemented into place and uses your natural teeth for anchors/support.

Implant Crowns

A dental implant is one way to replace a missing tooth. A zirconium post is placed into stable bone of the jaw or maxilla. Once healing has occurred, the implant is restored above the gum line with an abutment and a crown.

Implant Bridges

An implant bridge allows us to replace several missing teeth by connecting between two solidly placed implants.

Root Canals

Root Canal Therapy is a procedure guided to treat the nerve within a tooth. Reasons one may need a root canal is from a cavity that has infected the nerve of the tooth. In this instance, one may or may not be experiencing pain yet. Other instances for a root canal include infections, abscesses, nerve pain, or possibly recurring persistent pain due to a clinical crack/fracture in your tooth.

Partials

Removable Partial Dentures are fabricated to replace some missing teeth and are designed to use your remaining teeth for support to attach precision clasps or attachments for stability.

Dentures

A complete denture is designed to replace all the teeth on the upper or lower jaw. Dentures usually require a period of adjustment and may never feel as comfortable as your natural teeth.

Night Guards

Bite guards are fabricated to alleviate the parafunctional habits of clinching and grinding in order to protect your natural teeth, dental work, your TMJ, and the musculature of the head and neck.
